Meals on Wheels Diablo Region Leadership Includes a Dedicated Board of Directors and Staff

Board of Directors


Melissa Wedel | Chairperson
Melissa Wedel, CFA, brings a distinguished career in finance to the MOW Diablo Region Board of Directors. She is currently Vice President of U.S. Equity Research at J.P. Morgan Chase covering the specialty and consumer finance sector. She has also held other investment research roles at various financial firms serving institutional clients over the last two decades.

Melissa has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has previously served in various positions, including President of the board, for CFA Society San Francisco. Melissa graduated with from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

 


Timothy Argenti | Vice Chairperson
Tim Argenti is a dedicated local businessman with over 40 years of experience in the solid waste and recycling industry. He served as General Manager of Republic Services of Contra Costa County for 18 years where he was responsible for the oversight of all division activities, and currently serves as the company’s Community Relations Manager.

He was named Business Person of the Year by the Central Labor Council and has received many commendations from Congressional Representatives, State Assembly and State Senate Representatives and the Contra Costa Board of Supervisors. Tim has served as President of the Antioch Rotary Club and has served on several boards including the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce, where he is a past Chair of the Board.
 


Renee Morgan | Treasurer
Elected to the Danville Town Council in 2012, Renee has served as Mayor and liaison on numerous outreach organizations. She has served on numerous nonprofit Boards over the years and brings a wealth of experience to Meals on Wheels Diablo Region. She currently serves on the Governing Board for San Ramon Regional Medical Center/Tenet Health Care, The One Hundred Club, Danville Children’s Guild, Danville Women’s Club, Chamber of Commerce, Museum of the San Ramon Valley Gala, and much more.

Renee was President of her own company, and has worked with large corporations. Her advocacy for our aging population was intensified when her mother was diagnosed and succumbed to Alzheimer’s. She has made it her mission to advocate for the aging helping to implement the Commission on Aging in Danville and bringing awareness to our area.

 


Pravin Venketsamy
Pravin Venketsamy, MHA, has a distinguished career as a healthcare leader with extensive experience in medical group practice management, IT infrastructure, operations and innovation using lean tools and methodologies. He has been the recipient of numerous leadership awards from Kaiser Permanente.

Pravin received his Master of Science in Management/Health Administration from New England College and attained a Lean Six Sigma green belt certification in healthcare from the University of Georgia. He is currently the Area Director of Mental Health and Addiction Medicine Recovery Services at Kaiser Permanente.

 


Britt Strottman
Britt Strottman is Deputy City Attorney at the City and County of San Francisco in the Neighborhood Safety/Code Enforcement Division. She investigates and civilly prosecutes property owners and businesses that have violated building, senior housing, planning, health or other city and state codes, or who are otherwise misusing their property to endanger public health and safety. Britt has worked in private practice and as a Deputy District Attorney in the County of San Mateo in the elder abuse prosecution unit.

Britt received her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law. She currently resides in Walnut Creek.

 


Sharon Quesada Jenkins
Sharon Quesada Jenkins brings over 15 years of business leadership experience to MOW Diablo Region. She currently serves as the Director of Employer Broker Relations & Worksite Wellness at John Muir Health in Walnut Creek. Sharon has served on multiple Boards including: Earn and Learn, Mt. Diablo Unified School District Education Foundation, Livermore Chamber of Commerce, Tri Valley Leadership Group, and East Bay Economic Development Alliance. She has also served as chairman for the East Bay Leadership Council and Concord Chamber of Commerce. In July 2019, Sharon was honored with the 2019 Community Partnership Award from the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce.

Sharon received a Masters degree in Public Administration/Healthcare from California State University East Bay, and a Bachelors degree in Community Health Education from California State University Long Beach. She lives in Concord.

 


J.R. (Jim) Donnelly
J.R.(Jim) Donnelly spent over 45 years providing consulting services internationally in the Health, Safety, and Environmental fields. He has been the President and Board member for the Institute for Professional Environmental Practice. He has also served in leadership roles on the Air and Waste Management Association’s Technical and Education Councils.

Jim has a long history of volunteering. He served as Vice President for the Contra Costa County Advisory Council on Aging, Chair for the Contra Costa County Advisory Committee on Integrated Pest Management, Chair of the County Connection Advisory Committee, Commissioner for the Danville Senior Advisory Commission, and Conference Chair for the AAA/ACOA Contra Costa Conference on Aging 2020. He also volunteers as a Matter of Balance Coach for Meals on Wheels Diablo Region, driver for Mobility Matters, and is a member of the Senior Mobility Action Council.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, and a Master’s degree in Leadership from Saint Mary’s College. He currently resides in Danville.

 


Kerry Inserra
Kerry Inserra has extensive experience in marketing, advertising and public relations. She currently serves as the Associate Director of the Walnut Creek Downtown Association where she works to promote economic development in downtown Walnut Creek.  She was the President and Founder of the advertising agency Zip2Media.

Kerry has a commitment to giving back to the community and has served on many boards. She was the President of the Board of Directors for the Peter Pan Foundation and has been an active member of the American Marketing Association, San Francisco Bay Area Interactive Group (SFBIG), and Lafayette Juniors. Kerry is a graduate of Leadership Contra Costa.
