Home-Delivered Meals

We deliver meals to the doorstep of seniors (60 or older) who are homebound, unable to drive to get food, and do not have a caregiver that prepares their meals. Our meal delivery drivers also provide a safety check, and at times, are the only person the seniors we serve see all day.

We deliver meals to the whole of Contra Costa County including West County, Central and East Counties.

We make every effort to start delivering meals to you as soon as possible. To sign up or learn more, call 925.937.8311 or email us at info@mowdr.org.

If you would like to make a voluntary contribution for meals, you can pay for meals here.

Grocery Bag Program

The Grocery Bag Program is a partnership with the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. MOW Diablo Region delivers healthy groceries and fresh produce twice a month to low-income, homebound seniors who are able to prepare a simple meal but can’t get to the food bank.

To find out if you are eligible to receive a grocery bag, contact Kelly Trujillo at 925-448-3694 or ktrujillo@mowdr.org or complete the inquiry form below.

We deliver meals to seniors (60 years or older) who are homebound, unable to prepare food themselves and do not have a caregiver that prepares meals. Meals are provided based on need, not on income.

We deliver meals between 9:30am and 12pm. NO holiday deliveries. Your volunteer driver can deliver your meal to the door or bring it to the kitchen for you, whichever you prefer.

All our meals are low in sodium. Specific diet requests can not be accommodated. Menu items are globally inspired. Menus are available upon request.

Meals are provided free of charge. You will be asked for a suggested donation, but we do not turn anyone away who cannot contribute.

Make a voluntary contribution online:

Yes, you must be home. We cannot leave meals outside for food safety reasons. We also want to see how you are doing and find out if you need anything. Your meal will be delivered around the same time, so you’ll know when to expect us. If you know that you are not going to be home, call us in advance to let us know. We will not deliver your meal that day.
