Friendly Programs

Friendly Programs

Strive to connect seniors with dedicated volunteers who provide companionship, conversation, and practical support. Whether through phone calls, in-person visits, or assistance with essential errands, these programs are designed to reduce isolation and strengthen community connection. By fostering consistent, one-on-one relationships, Friendly Programs help seniors feel supported, valued, and meaningfully engaged in their daily lives.

WHAT DOES A FRIENDLY VISITOR DO?

You visit your senior friend once a week for about an hour. You can meet at a time that works for both of you, even in the evening or on the weekend. During your visit, just enjoy spending time together and having fun. You can play games, read books, go grocery shopping, or simply share stories.

WHAT DOES A FRIENDLY CALLER DO?

As a Friendly Caller, you offer companionship through simple, thoughtful conversation twice a week. Over time, these regular check-ins build trust and familiarity. The commitment is manageable, yet the impact is lasting, bringing comfort, connection, and a sense of belonging to someone who may otherwise feel alone.

WHAT DOES A FRIENDLY HELPER DO?

As a Friendly Helper, you provide practical support that eases everyday stress. Beyond transportation, your presence offers reassurance and care. This role allows you to make a tangible difference while helping seniors remain connected and supported within their community.

Our Volunteer Matching Process!

When you sign up to be a volunteer, we’ll ask you about yourself and what you like to do. Then, we’ll match you with a senior who shares your interests and whom we think you’ll enjoy.

We have a long list of seniors who are waiting to be matched with a Friendly Visitors, Callers and Helpers.
