LINE DANCING

Line Dancing is a popular form of exercise for older adults and is a low-impact dance and movement physical activity program. Line dancing is offered seating or standing and is recommended for all fitness and mobility levels.

MOW Diablo Region offers free line dancing classes to seniors 60 years old and older at the following locations and times:

  • Thursday, Ongoing, 9:00am
    • Pittsburg Senior Center
  • Thursday, Ongoing, 12:30pm
    • Corrine Sain Senior & Family Community Center, Richmond

Bingocize®

Bingocize® is a fun way to exercise and enjoy bingo at the same time! This 10-week program increases physical activity and reduces sedentary behavior, and promotes social engagement.

MOW Diablo Region offers free Bingocize® classes to seniors 60 years and older at the following locations and times:

  • Monday, Ongoing, 1:00pm
    • Stoneman Village, Pittsburg
      (available to Stoneman Village and Stoneman Village II residents)
  • Tuesday, Ongoing, 12:00noon
    • North Richmond Senior Center
  • Wednesday, Ongoing, 11:00am
    • Berrellesa Palms Apartments, Martinez
      (available to Berrellesa Palms residents)

Walk with Ease

Walk with Ease is a great program that helps people with arthritis or other related conditions reduce pain, increase balance, strength and walking pace, and improve overall health. It is a great way to be outdoors with friends.

  • Wednesday, Ongoing, 10:30am
    • The Heritage Apartments, Concord, CA
      (available to Heritage Apartments residents)
  • Thursday, Ongoing, 10:30am
    • Stoneman Village I & II, Pittsburg, CA
      (available to Stoneman Village residents)

Young at Heart

Young at Heart Strength Training; a Fall Prevention Program is an evidence-based fall prevention program. This class can be done seated or standing. Participants can expect improved balance, strength, reduced number of falls, reduced stress, improved mental health, social engagement, and increased energy level.
