Emergency Assistance

“I always thought I’d be ok when I got older.  I joined the military right out of school and worked up until I got sick a few years back. Things got bad quickly and medical bills took everything I had in savings. It got to the point when I could only afford to eat cereal because my bills were so high. Luckily, the folks at MOWDR lined me up with some resources and connected me with the local VA. I didn’t want to ask for help, but now that I did, I know I’ll be ok.”  —Robert

When unexpected emergencies arise we don’t want you choosing between eating and purchasing medicine, between paying your electric bill or paying rent. Often, our Case Management team can intervene and help. If you need one-time emergency assistance, call us. We may be of assistance.

Our goal is to help older adults remain healthy, happy, and independent for as long as possible. Occasionally, that means asking for help. If we don’t have a solution, we may be able to connect you with someone who does.
