Join us for an unforgettable evening of dining, dancing, and fun at the Dining to Deliver Gala on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the Blackhawk Museum. Last year's event sold out, and we're excited to invite you to another great opportunity to support vulnerable seniors in our community.
Since 1968, MOW Diablo Region has been providing lifesaving services to seniors, delivering over 600,000 meals in the past year alone. The need for our supportive services has increased, with a 150% rise in Fall Prevention and more seniors receiving Friendly Visits and Calls to prevent social isolation. Our Care Management helps seniors struggling with challenges like depression, evictions, and elder abuse. With senior needs growing, this event is crucial to continuing our essential services.
We're thrilled to have Paul Heggen, award-winning Chief Meteorologist at KPIX-TV, as the evening's Master of Ceremonies! Heggen won seven Emmy Awards, including the "Weather Anchor" Emmy for his work at KPIX during the 2020 season. In 2019, he was named "Weathercaster of the Year" by the Radio, Television, and Digital News Association of the Carolinas. He brought high energy and smiles to the gala last year, and we're excited to have him join us again for another night of fun!
We're also delighted to welcome Franco Finn, "the Warriors Hype Man," as our gala auctioneer! Finn is in his 20th Season as the In-Arena MC and TV Personality for the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors. He is a sought-after professional auctioneer, having raised millions of dollars for high-profile local and national nonprofits.
Live music by the Timebandits, Solano County's Premier Dance Band, will keep you on the dance floor all night! They are a family of talented, well-versed musicians who filled the dance floor for last year's event.
